What is Rocket Pool?

Rocket Pool is an Ethereum-focused liquid staking network with a strong emphasis on decentralization: rather than a single operator set, the protocol coordinates many node operators who stake ETH and mint rETH, a token that broadly tracks staked ETH plus consensus rewards (net of fees and protocol mechanics).

Key ideas: small depositors can stake with low minimums and receive rETH for use elsewhere in DeFi; node operators can join permissionlessly with a bond model that pairs protocol-aligned collateral (RPL) with pooled ETH so individuals do not need a full 32 ETH alone. Operators earn commissions and can receive RPL incentives for healthy participation.

RPL is the protocol’s native token used for alignment, insurance-like bonding, and governance—exact requirements change with upgrades, so treat tokenomics as versioned.
